My name is René Villadsen Mogensen, and I was born in 1968. I am married to Karina, and together we run Renés Driving School, with me as the driving instructor and her handling the administrative work.
I have three adult children and am a bonus dad to Noah.
In my limited spare time, I enjoy camping life and taking a ride on my motorcycle when the weather and time allow.
Driving Instructor Education
I was certified as a driving instructor for category B on June 2, 2016.
Later, I also became certified as a driving instructor for categories B/E, C, C/E, D, and D/E.
I have taken courses through the Danish Driving Instructors Association (Dansk Kørelærer Union) focusing on diagnoses such as ADHD and autism, aimed at teaching students in connection with obtaining a driving license.
Currently, I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in pedagogy at UC Syd.
At the same time, I am also certified as a specially approved driving instructor, which means I am authorized to train other driving instructors.

Work Experience
In my younger days, I worked as a waiter at Ho Kro. Afterwards, I served my military conscription from 1989 to 1990, where I was trained as a Gunner/Assistant on the Leopard 1 A5 tank, as well as the squadron’s first aider (first responder).
After completing my contract, I started working as an export driver and later became an independent hauler, which I worked full-time in until 2009. At the same time as running my hauling business, I worked as a driver for the medical emergency service from 2009 to 2016, and I studied to become a driving instructor in 2015/16.
In 2017, I closed my hauling business because I wanted to try something new, and with my experience in the transport industry, I chose to become a driving instructor.
After completing my training, I worked for 3.5 years as a driving instructor at DownTown.
In 2019, I was offered a position at AMU-Vest as a vocational teacher in the transport department, where I worked until December 2024.
In 2020, I started missing working with young people and therefore founded René’s Driving School. I enjoy seeing the young people succeed when they get their driver’s licenses, and today I work exclusively at the driving school.
